Saw this today's in a small gun shop and they don't carry a lot of stuff and usually not the cheapest prices
Wow. This are not powders I use but then again if I was out it might be a good deal
Are you guys seeing prices climb

Thanks

Buck

Mom and pop shops hiding all over the country seem to have a decent bit of the more popular stuff in stock and its usually a couple dollars more. The gunshop nearest me has H4350, h1000, RL23, RL25. No RL 26 though. That stuff isn't real.

I go to a Mom and Pop shop that nobody uses for powder cause they are $34-38 a bottle. If you consider the shipping and hazmat costs into a half a dozen its not much cheaper. Picking things up and driving home after spending your money local just works for me. I'll have to check for RL26 although I don't use it, They carry the full Alliant IMR and Hodgdon line's. Powder is worth a lot when you need a certain brand, least that's the way it is for me. Buy my primers local as well.

I started seeing that over a year ago around here. if you look at all the changed to licenses and shipping regulations then add in governors pressuring banks , controlling state license and insurance fees, and supply and demand I wouldn't expect it to ever get better

I've learned to be flexible and adaptive when it comes to powder selection. If my favorite powder becomes scarce I just move on to a different (and available) powder. I may not be able to squeak out every last ft/sec with the newly worked up load but I'm still shooting. Occasionally, I find a powder that provides even better accuracy than I was originally getting.

My small local shop in Savannah Tennessee is called Surematch your long range specialist prices are slightly lower than that very slightly

I am still paying 24.99 to 29.99 for the powders I use. Just bought 3 pounds of IMR 7828 ssc for 29.99 each this week. H4831sc and Varget have been running me a few dollars less per pound. I suppose I am lucky here. Back when I shot Vhitavouri powders, they were all above 30 bucks... and that has been years ago.

In my little store Vv n570 when it is there which is rare is $50 a pound

Locally here, I see prices range from 28.99 up to 34.99 per pound for the IMR, Alliant, Hodgdon, Winchester, Ramshot, Accurate brands and 40 to 45ish per pound for the Norma and VihtaVuori line up. Personally, I usually have no problem with the powders costing $29-35 but it hurts my heart to see them edging closer to $40-50. This comes from being in the game a long time and can remember prices being $10-20 a pound. Just me I guess :( . I understand the economics of it but still don't like it. I'm just like everyone else though; stuff starts disappearing off the shelf due to perceived or real problems and I'll pay the exorbitant prices.
I have access to most powders but some are not and have not been seen, at least by me. Specifically, N565, N570, H4350, H4831(SC) and RL26 lately. I will splurge for the two VV's, and have a small supply (3-4lb) of RL-26 but at 75gn's a contraction that's less than 400rds.
I got into reloading to "save money" but that's laughable.
