Working up another new load for the newly rebuilt 243. Which powder do you guys think will show less sensitivity to temperature. IMR 4064 , RE 15, RE 19. These are powders that I have on hand that will provide 3000 fps for a 90 grain bullet.

Thank you for any input.

Re15 is the only one out of your options that specifically lists temp consistency. That would be my choice if it was accurate.

I use ADI AR2209 which is marketed as H4350 in US.

My load is 41.3 grains for 2950fps, using Berger 95vld's

The imr4064 will work but wont utilize case capacity as well, and wont get your close to the 3000fps your after.

I was running imr 4064 with 87 Hornady btsp in my 243 and 3000fps is reachable!

Your right, after checking my data you can achieve the same velocity, but your still not achieving maximum load density, may not worry some, but I found H4350 to be more accurate and consitant.

I was using Viht N560 which is better again 45 grains achieving 100% case capacity and 3150fps but supply is intermittent so switched to H4350.

I burned almost s pound of 4350 in my 243 and never found accuracies I wanted with 3 bullets. Read chuck hawks 243 page , he said his g.p. Load was 37.1 of imr4064 and the 87gr btsp. It's not a optimal case fill but buy golly it would put 5 in a 1" circle any day of the week!
Leason to the story, no matter what you want too load, sometimes you gotta try something different if you want it too work

Big fan of IMR4064 in 308 parent case. 3000FPS is a piece of cake in 243. A Barnes 85gr bullet in IMR 4064 should get 3K without even max load and will be a medium game killer

Too many smart people on this site to nit pick anyone's opinion but in general when thinking of a cartridge like 243 I don't think of 4350 burn rate
