Working on building a hunting load from my Savage 7mm-08. I typically shoot 139gr sst's with IMR 4064. I wanted to jump up to the 150gr ELDx bullet. I believe I have a 1:11 twist which is on the slow end for this built. Can I use a powder like IMR 4350 to get my velocity up to hopefully help stabilize the bullet or will that not help? Other powders recommendations are welcome!

You should run the Berger twist calculator to see what you will get with varying vel. Vel does not make much of a diff.

Every gun is different, but Varget has always been my "go to" powder for both the 7mm-08 and 308.

Over the last 30 yrs i've had 3 different 7mm/08's and all 3 loved H-414/WW760 with 140 gr class bullets for vel and accuracy.

if you want to know your twist send savage an email with your serial number. It may take some time but, they will respond with the twist rate for your rifle. My g series savage (g meaning the first letter of the serial number), is 1 in 9.5 inches. Wich will stableize anything from 145 to 175 quite nicely

Hodgdon lists the three fastest powders with velocities in the 2660 to 2733 fps 24" barrel.
H4350
IMR 4451
H414
Find the loads here:

Alliant lists RL-17
RL-17 yields approximately 2800 24" barrel with a 150 gr bullet

Much to my surprise RL-16 surpasses all the powders listed above.
RL-16 yields 2852 fps 24" barrel

How sure are you about the twist rate on your bbl?

It isn't very difficult to measure it using a tight patch wrapped around a bbl cleaning jag and a ruler. Like the posts above, I think your twist is probably a 10. You should be okay with the usual hunting bullets. Varget is a good starting point, as are many of the others listed. 7-08 was/is a very popular cartridge in Hunter Class Silhouette and the pet loads are very common.
