I'm starting loads for my new build. It's 7mm RM with a 24 inch Bartlein 3b 1:8 twist barrel on a trued 700 action. I want to shoot 175 grain bullets (Partitions, Accubonds). What are the best powders for this weight bullet? Thanks

The rl22 Or 4831sc would be my choice Given what you have already. Pet loads will
Depend highly on your chamber.... I would start the 175 accubonds .030 off the lands with 58.0 of rl22 and work up and look for pressure.

I'd go rather slow burning. One of a couple of loads for my kid's Tikka 7rem is a 175 Hornady with a rather full case of Accurate 8700. That powder isn't available anymore but wc 869 is just about the same. Retumbo and rl33 would do well too. With 140-150 grain pills I would (and am) running powders about the burn rate of rl22.

I am a full case guy. Norma 217, Retumbo, LRT. The 7 likes slow ball powder but the norma and retumbo should work good too. I just got an 8 pound jug of LRT but haven,t had a chance to try it yet.

I have a Rem 700 7mm Mag that was finished about a year ago. 26" Bartlein barrel shooting 168 VLD Bergers. I originally was shooting H1000, however, due to the lack of availability, I now shoot 70.5 grains of IMR 7977 @ 3025 FPS. Sub MOA out to ~500 yards so far.

I just worked up a load in my rem 700 with a 24" bartlein #3 contour. It likes berger's max charge of RL26 and 175 gr berger elite hunter.
I got an average velocity of 2829 and an SD of 9fps.
