Powder for new 243 no varget

Superformance intrigues me but I'm done buying it and trying to make it work for me. A bit of a wild card. Showed a lot of promise in my .243 come to think of it, years ago, 100 grain Speer btsp. But the extreme spread and sd was just all over the place, worse than any powder I've ever tried.

I have very good luck with 80gr bullets using IMR4350. Very consistent and very well shooting. Tried varget and it didn't do very well for me. My neighbor loved it but he was shooting lighter bullets ( varmint loads). You may choose slower burning powders for the best results.

Shot the smallest group with hunting bullet/rifle 243 McGowen barrel on Sav action. 85 SGK on top of 44.5 H4350 OAL 2.620 Lapua brass w/ BR2 pri. 4 shots on same hole. Last 4 shots on work up load, needless to say, that has been my go to load for that gun for 3 yrs now....For heavy 107-115 bullets, H1000......……….

I have had awfully good groups with IMR 4320 in 243. It is a little slower than 4064 and Rel15 and a little faster than IMR 4350, H4350 and Rel17. I also have about 5 lbs to use. Like 4320 with Sierra 85gr. HPBT. Super accurate hunting load for yore's.

I use the hybrid 100v and have had zero issues with it and 1 hole groups out of 3 different .243's. I have been using DRT brass with CCI BR2 primers. Matter of fact it's the only powder I have used in the Savage that has achieved a 1 hole group. It may not win any awards but if I can get groups like that with no issues i will take that every time.

I tried Hybrid 100 V and Superformance in a 6.5 CM Tikka. 24.5 in. barrel . Both shot sub moa. Both about 100 fps faster and more accurate in that rifle than H4350 and IMR 4350. All below max pressure.
I want to try both in my 243 also and H4350. All above I used a 143 ELDX.
