Going to reload 300 WBY with some 230 grain Berger Hybrid was wondering if someone has some thought of good powder to start with I have on hand
H1000
H4831
Imr4350
Rl22
Rl19
Thought I would ask for a suggestion
Thank you

I've had great luck with H1000 and Berger bullets. The Berger manual says 77.1gr is max with H1000 and the 230gr bullet.

When I was working up a load with a buddies 300roy and 220 nos, 225hdy, and 220sierra bullets we landed on 7828 and either the sierra or the hdy.. Rl22 was a close second but we could actually get enough 7828 for him to load a couple of hundred rounds so we went there.

h1000 would also be a choice for me as I've seen it do well with heavies in the 300win..

Thanks
That's good to hear I was going to try H1000 first after reading all the good reports about it with the 300 Win. But I figure I would ask a simple question to see if someone had good experience with one of the other powders that I already have on hand. I'll be starting a latter test hopefully these weekend.

Thanks for the input. It's greatly appreciated.

I have a .300 Ackley (.300 Wby that has been improved), and I shoot the Berger 210 VLD's out of it. I use Nosler brass, 7828 SSC, and Federal 215M primers.

I stopped using H1000 because of inconsistencies between lots and horrible velocity fluctuations in the SAME lot of powder out of the same jug. Also temp stability has not proven itself to me with H1000 yet. In-fact, I have found it to be alot LESS stable than they claim.
