POST FOR A FRIEND

Darryl,
I am interested in the topic of scopes and muzzlebreaks because some gunsmiths have told me about recurring problems with some brands and models of scopes. Tough one to prove, since lots of guys never have any problems. Supposed to be something about the air-rifle effect caused by breaks. I have also shot quite a few big rifles that had breaks (none were my own tho) and they all performed perfectly. If you want to feel recoil, take the muzzlebreak off a .50 bolt gun and "take it like a man". Only did it once, it was nasty.

My 2 cents on brakes:

If while sitting at the bench your mind is: How hard is this going to kick,,,, then your gun needs/requires a brake to increase accurate shooting whether it be at paper or game.
