I love using my panhead for glassing but it sucks having to level the tripod perfectly to get the rifle level. But then I hate using a ball head for glassing. As most have said, price aside if your not hiking around with it, the RRS products are great. Plus I like that they essentially open sourced there dovetail specs so I could make my adapters.
