plastic storage case for .30-378 loaded rounds?

i need a plastic storage case to put my
loaded .30-378 rounds in.. im using a
mtm case guard H-50 XL but i have to put
the rounds bullet down..I dont like doing
that.. Does anyone know of a storage case
where i can store them standing up?

The narrow MTM 20 round boxes work, that's what my brother uses for his 338-378. The tops slide over the bottom, so he tapes them on, kind of a pain, but they do stand up.

I like the new "normal" hinged top 22 round boxes for my 338 Lapua cases, works great either way too, with an OAL of 3.830 or less, maybe a tad more.

MTM # is RF22-LM for 300/338/375/7mm RUM/416 Rigby/600 Nitro

I use a small case for carry with my 338 Lapua rounds, the BUF-10-70.

I use a 20 guage shotshell holder system for the 338 Lapua rounds when reloading, maybe a 20 or 28 guage shotshell box will allow you to place the rounds bullet up.


(I see they recommend using the H50-XL as the 28 guage model so that's a no-go. Maybe the 20 guage box H50-20-09.)

Looks like the ones with the slip on top are the J-20, not sure which but the ones he has fit the big WBY base down in them.

The 50 rd H50XL boxes I also use for the Lapua cases will too, but you've got to push the cases down into the thing it's so tight, so I use the slip on boxes for my 416 too. My slip on top 20 round boxes are from J&J Products though (45-70 to 600 Nitro).

The 22 rounds MTM RF22 cases are nicer than the slip on J&J, so I'll be switching. I hate the tops slipping off and spillin ammo!

I've got a couple of the buff 10-70 cases too, nice for the pack, saddlebags etc, and they don't "rattle" either. They allow for a 4.075" max OAL in case you wondered.

I got mine through Cabela's. MTM's in 5-packs for like $7/pack. They carry the full range for the big Weatherby rounds.
