Bravo 4...we need stats/detail/gun specs...
Great lookin' stick man!
Thanks!
My .375 Snipetac's currently configuration:
Stiller .408 1.6" repeater w/40moa rail
36", 1-8" twist K&P barrel that is a custom contour and wrought iron fluted (APA big bastard brake)
Baer bottom metal
Jewel trigger
McMillan A-5 Super Mag
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50
Nightforce rings
Accutac LR10 bipod

Big-heavy went on a diet and shaved several pounds ...about 9!
Swapped the super heavy 36" for a 30" "slender" contour, put a lighter scope (5.5-22 Nightforce NXS to 3-15 SS) on as well. Should be easier to carry @ 16.5 lbs instead of 25.5! Still need to see how that scope works out, if not then I'll put the NXS back on. What's another 1/2 pound?:D

338/300 Ultra on a Savage with a 30" no taper barrel. It's wearing a 6-24 Sightron SIII now and rifle/scope weighs 14lbs. 10oz.. No brake, felt recoil with 300s to me seems no worse than my old 721 30-06 shooting 180s. I'm sure that's in part due to ergonomics. It ain't a carry rifle for sure so I'm going to weight the stock to balance it a little better(it's nose heavy, imagine that:rolleyes:).

280AI on a Rem 700 with a #7 contour barrel. 15lbs. 2oz. with a Nikon 6.5-20 on it. With the weight and the brake I could shoot this rifle all day long. Little girls could probably shoot this rifle all day...if their arms were long enough to reach the trigger!:D

Beautiful stock on the 338/300

.300RUM @ 15.5#
R700 LA BDL w. Tac knob
McMillan Adjustable Game Warden
28" Rock Creek Rem Heavy Varmint contour 1:10" spiral fluted w. Badger Thruster brake
Timney 512 @ 1lb 7oz
Seekins alloy 20MOA Picatinny rail
Seekins alloy 34mm low 6/4 rings
Premier Heritage 5-25×56
Pushes a 230 Hybrid @ 3068fps
This rifle has killed numerous elk for 6 family members and a good friend. From 81 to 871 yards. A couple coyotes @ 1365 and a squirrel @ 1201...with a witness.
