I've seen pictures of some Enduron containers where the lits coroded away. I suspect that had something to do with it.

Never had that happen to me. What they said to me is that they haven’t got any new stock from whoever makes the stuff in over two years so decided to discontinue

Hmmmm…I’ve had some of mine for quite a few years (not that they’ve been around that long) and never seen any issue. But I’ll keep my eyes open.

STaBall first, then R17. Long barrel should get great velocity with STaBall. R17 burns very hot, as in cook bacon on the barrel hot! But STaBall can be finicky!

One persons experience with two Enduron powders. As with all powders, smell and sight are the first giveways

While checking my powder inventory, came across a can of IMR4166 that had one side of the can all rusted out with a hole in it, after opening the cap, i saw a reddish tint in the can. So I came back with a paper plate and poured out half a can of powder, and the powder looked normal, and black...

Thanks for the link. That is odd. I still find myself thinking there’s gotta be more to those 2 individual cases than the powder itself or we’d be hearing about A LOT more of these incidents. The lid on that 4166 really stumps me. I honestly think something caustic and corrosive got on it from the outside…how else would all the powder in the can look brand new, no rusty look, no foul smell?

I'd go Staball 6.5 if you can get a good load out of it because of availability. It's the only one of those that I see consistently in stock.

Weird how the Viht powders are good stock too Maybe just not popular enough outside the competition side of the house.
