Peterson 6.5 CM Brass

I was given 50 rds of Peterson 6.5 brass and was curious how it stacks up against hornady, remington, or lapua. How close is it in capacity to the above brands? Haven't found much as far as data in the reloading section with anyone using this brass. Thanks in advance

Easily some if the best brass I've loaded, right there with Lapua & Norma.

My guess is capacity will be lower than Hornady brass but you'll be able to run it to higher pressure than Hornady. Peterson is the best brass I have used, so you should be pretty pleased with it.

Peterson is very good brass. A max load in lapua brass will be over pressure in Peterson brass. I run it in my match rifles and it gets used hard. I reload it 25 times and then it goes to practice brass. After 25 reloads I start to check case web thickness every 2 firings. It will go 30 firings pretty easily.

It holds a bit less powder to get same speed/pressure.

This brass is as good as it comes, I use 260 SPR to form 6.5 slr and I could not be happier.

As others have said, it's some of the best brass available. We run it in 243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 284 Win. It's given us great results and it's heavy duty stuff.

140gr ELD 43gr of RL26. Start there and work up. My brother's rifle settled on 45.5gr in once fired brass doing 2850fps with the 140gr. Again, start low and work up.
