Peanuts

I've hunted in the Carolinas many times. It wasn't unusual to be placed in a stand overlooking a peanut field. Tracks were all over the place when I hunted in one of the stands. But ........ soybean fields were way more productive.

They love them every way but barbecued. They will hull then and eat them here. I have even seen the paw them up if we are late digging them once they start smelling them in the ground. There is a guy close by make a feed with peanuts and soybeans etc. I think he calls it peanut frenzy but I am not sure. You can buy them by the ton from farmers here and dump them out but it is terrible for the turkeys. They get a fungus and it can kill the turkeys

Thanks

Buck
