I just ran across LelandWest.com parallax error calculator. Has any one used this and in what way to help you? To me this would be beneficial to scopes that do not have external parallax correction. Just my brief playing with it shows that if I had scope reset to 350yds parallax free zero I would have minimal error out to 600yds.

Pretty interesting. I'm glad I buy scopes with adjustable parallax and it seems to match up with the little work I've done on testing my parallax error. The biggest takeaway I got from it is that when I'm hunting I'll just keep my parallax adjusted to infinity and I wont really have to worry about adjusting it for the shot.

Just for grins ran calculator using 999yds with 40mm objective.
