Outside scope cleaning

What is the best way to clean the outside of your scope. I have the Burris cleaning tool that cleans the optics, but what do you guys use to clean the outside of your scops. Is there a prescribed cleaning fluid that is safe to use on scopes. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Wildcat.

A damp cloth. Get the mud/dirt off then wipe with a dry one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I blow off the scope with some compressed air then use water and a soft Q-tip.

I use compressed air, then spray down with a solution, then spray some more and wipe down with a 3M cloth.
