Groundhogs are becoming difficult to shoot now as the beans and alfalfa fields are high hiding them.
The window of opportunity exist along tree lines , however there's only an 8 foot viewing window as they dash for cover, but that's hunting. Saw 4 , shot three, the fourth just disappeared in the two foot high beans. I sat two hours waiting on the one dug in under the shed. Shots were 109 to 141 yards , 17 WSM , the new Vortex Crossfire 2 performed flawlessly, put the dot on them and pull the trigger , DRT. Shoulder shot was the furthest shot .
