I have no idea when it was made but I have an older Savage 110 in 7 mag with the flat back receiver. Its a non accutrigger model with a top bolt release. At the top of the bolt lift there's a "hump." The bolt lift is relatively smooth from the bottom position till the top 1/2 - 3/4 inch or so and then it hits a wall and it takes a decent amount of leverage to get it to pop up. I have another savage that sorta has the same feeling but it is nowhere near as noticeable. Is this normal for savage rifles? Will replacing the trigger with say a timney or a rifle six trigger help? Or would installing a bolt lift kit help? Thanks in advance!
