Quite a fe of you said you liked NZLongranger's posts about NZ huunting, so though you might like this post.

And nope, I didn't go on this trip, but its got some good pictures and give you a good appreciation for the terrain.

Question: What are 'keas' and what's to be hesitant about?

That was a strange looking bird. It looked like it didn't have much respect for the folks.......

The Kea is a native parrot, and they are very inquisitive, and will peck and destroy pretty much anything. They love to peel the rubber seals off car windscreens, windscreen wipers, shred nylon tents etc.
