Correct, you Are Finally listening sort of. I have not and will not own a mark 5. There are consequences for making crappy products for years. At this point I refuse to buy leupold unless it’s a binoculars. I’d be happy to text a mk5 but I’m not spending my money on it. Feel free to send yours to me and I will do an honest evaluation of it. Since you asked I do own a nx8 but have not mounted it in a set of rings yet. I’ve got A khales 1050 and a 525. I’ve got one March highmaster left and numerous NF scopes. The khales has the best mechanicals. They do not however have the best glass in my opinion. To be honest it’s hard to beat the old nf br scopes for the money. I do all my load development with the same old nf br 42. If you are seriously wanting to know why I prefer the khales I’d be more that glad to pm you about it but I’m certain you don’t care and just want to argue. If the mark 5 leupold is the best scope you have there is nothing wrong with that. More power to you but I’m just pointing out that leupold does not preform as well as other manufacturers on average. If you don’t know how to use a double base mount and a scope with frozen mechanicals you need to do some research. And to be honest if you haven’t compared ur mk5 to a frozen scope I don’t see how u can have that much respect for ur scope if the only test you have done is a ladder test without testing against a know perfect hold hence the frozen scope. I believe my mount was made by field and cave but I’d have to check to make sure as I bought it second hand.
