Anybody loading these bullets?
Any good recipes?
I have a Remington 700 SPS in a Bell & Calson 26"

I have got a load for Nosler 140 AccuBonds
Winchester Brass
Federal 215 Primer
71.5g IMR4350
3.625" OAL
3250(ft/s)
.325" group @ 100 yards

I'd ditch the 4350...
We had my pop's rifle shooting these into less than an inch @200 last year.
the load... work up to it of course... shot in a remmy 700 dm/b rifle

215
80.0 rl25
150 ablr
rem brass
3.650" oal

I was not planning on using 4350 with 150's
Thanks for giving me a place to start.
I'll try and find some RL25 and give it a try.

Has anybody tried 7828SSC with ABLR's ?

That's Mud's favorite powder for the STW. If he doesn't see this thread and chime in drop him a PM.

While I cannot help with your bullet choice, I may be able to help with your powder selection. I normally shoot the Berger 180gr bullets out of mine.

I can look up some 150gr bullet powder charges with 7828 SSC when I get home this evening, to give you a comparison to go by.

They are better at long range due to the Higher BC's. The Higher BC's are more accurate and maintain their velocity better than the lighter lower BC bullets.

Sorry for the late chime in but this is what happened to me. Was shooting 140ABs almost 3400 to .5 moa then tried the 160s and they too shot .5" but at 3140 with H1000. Looked at the 400 and beyond ballistics and the 160 was better even though starting a tad slower.

I have a Cooper model 52 in 7 STW, 1 in 9 twist. It likes 80.0g of H4831SC. Tried some slower powders, but it shoots the 150 ABLR's into 1/4MOA groups with this load. I steer clear of the Reloader powders here in South Texas because they are too temp sensitive. According to Nosler, that's about 1/2 grain over max, but I worked up slow and have no pressure signs. 3x fired brass still measure within .001" of original primer pocket diameter. Took a feral hog at 1016 yds in February. Entered behind left ear and exited the right hip. Love these bullets so far!
