Northeast New Mexico Mule Deer

What is the population of mule deer like in Northeast New Mexico? Looking at hunting in the area but don't want to waste my time if there aren't very many.

I live in unit 57, the population is pretty decent right now. We have had mild winters and it looks like this years fawn crop is good. We have gotten good moisture around our area this summer.
I have seen some nice bucks the last couple of weeks. Which unit are you thinking of hunting?
