I bought a bag of 250 .223 Norma cases a while back, and they look great. Have had no problems necking them up to 6mm for my 6-TCU.
I have run Norma brass in WSM both 270 and 300 for more than 15 years and I still think it is the best Short mag brass i have ever found. I know things can change. I am now loading Norma in 270 Win. It comes in boxes of 20 pieces and they are so perfect that i think it is a waste of time to resize them. I think the problem may be bulk packaging not with the brass.
Have to agree on that lower left one. Put in your recycle bin after crushing the neck/shoulders. The only brass I've ever received undamaged has been Lapua, but perhaps I've been more fortunate. Still, I have used Norma in the past without any issues. Other than military brass, I still prefer Lapua. The piece I the lower left corner may not be salvageable. Perhaps the vendor would replace all 100 or possibly contact Norma directly. Email: [email protected], telephone number: 1-912-800-9281. I recently purchased Norma brass for my .270 Win which all were perfect. Only brass I could find locally and I always prefer buying locally.
Have to take what you can get now days. Straighten case mouths with long tapered punch just enough to not catch on expander button then resize. I've saved cases with way worse mouths than those with a center punch.View attachment 315450Has anyone used Norma brass. I got this order of 22-250 brass from them because that’s all I could find, but dang, this is just out of 100 pcs. And i havent gone through it piece by piece yet.
I think im going to just act like it’s once fired and anneal it,re size it and give it a try. Its all ive got right now View attachment 315450
