NM Aoudad 2012

I just returned from my first Aoudad hunt in NM. Was able to harvest this 7 year old ram after A LOT of glassing and hiking. Spent 4 days covering between 10-12 miles a day. Saw a few smaller rams and one giant that we did not connect on. But I was super happy with this ram. He is 26 1/8 with 11.5 bases. A long range rifle was a huge asset on this hunt, I was very pleased with the performance of the Gunwerks set up. Was not able to get any field pics as it was dark by the time we got to him. We were just over 4 miles from the truck so we just caped and qrtred him that night.

congratulations, where at in New Mexico did you hunt at?

Thanks for the comments. We hunted public land in the Roswell area. This was my first trip down there but will hopefully not be my last.
