I'm think about about a 2.5x10x50 with 30 mm tube to put on my 280 rem for deer hunting . what retical german #4 or nikoplex. Auy suggestions? thanks for your help

The Nikon Gold is a great scope and will work well for deer hunting. I would also suggest checking out the Nikon Monarch Series with the BDC reticle. I just returned home from Ks. deer hunting. My buddy and I shot 5 deer with 5 diferent rifles all utilizing the BDC reticle.

This site will let you enter all your load,scope and sight in data and tell you distances for each BDC circle at each magnification setting, I can tell you first hand it is awesome.
