Newcon rangefinders

It seems they have a reputation for having decent ranging ability but poor optic quality in their lower end models that the average hunter could afford.

I purchased a LRM 1500 couple years ago and for the money ($250) am quite satisfied. Wanted a range finder to work to 700 yards my max shooting distance for deer with the rifle that I was using at the time and it did its job very well.

On bright sunny days it's like all others doesn't work worth a dang but with a little overcast works great. The longest I have ranged game with it is 1165 yards on an elk or the hill behind it on a stormy day. Learned a lot using the 1500 but if you want to range over 700 yards consistently I would opt for something else.
