Newbie needs your input on my choice for ~1 mile target/hunt

Hi, I did my research on the web and come up with the following LR system

Sako TRG 42 .338 LM -> March 5-50x56

Please give me your thoughts.


I have no problems @ 300 with my Tikka T3 .300 wm -> Conquest 4.5-14x44 and
Benelli R1 30-06 sf -> Conquest 3.5-10x44
