New Stock for Weatherby Mark V

McMillan only offers the Game Warden in left hand for the Mark V and it has an adjustable cheek piece which I don't want for a hunting rifle.

They have a Mark V stock on their website but it takes 12 months to complete.

Bell and Carlson stocks won't fit with the South Gate, CA action because it sits too far forward to get properly bedded.

If you want a McMillan, I'd suggest calling them for a true lead time on a stock. I have never waited a year for them.

Also, a South Gate action will fit a Bell & Carlson just fine. I have two of them bedded in, and am set to epoxy another just minutes after I post this. Perhaps it was the particular stock you received, but I've not had issues.

It might be because it is left handed but everyone I have called and talked to has said it won't fit.

Just finished bedding the Southgate. No issues.

I have a lefty delux Weatherby Mark V 300roy but my barrel was 26", all I had to do is call McMillan and tell them what I had and what I wanted to do and they walked me threw everything, and I was rebarreling with a Hart Barrel so they called Hart and got the barrel info. But I am sure they can help you or call Weatherby and they could let you know the contour. I also refinished my original stock on my own to see if I could do it.
