New Rifle build Please tell me why I should or should not build a 25-06

Measure your mag length of the savage before doing anything. Usually savage sa have a internal box length that is closer to a medium action and the action cut out will allow a bit more room for longer COAL. I think all mine with a dbm or internal run close to 3.00 coal. If that is the case you can do any sa action cartridge with a long bullet like the 25 creed.

A little input I have a short action Savage that want to build a new Rifle. I have a .270, 300 wm, 6.5 cm
So I am thinking a 25-06 or a 22 creedmoor I reload so I will need to get brass and Bullets can brass be found for the 25-06?
Consider the 243 Win (regular or AI) if what you want is a deer and varminting combination rifle. A 1:7 twist would let you hunt with a 115-grain Berger 6mm bullet; a 1:8, 108 grains. Either would be fantastic on deer. See https://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/243win/.

Long action
Limited down range ballistics
Limited bullet weight
Limited to 600 for most large game

What are you going to use it for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I were you I would sell that Savage and get a whole different rifle rather than building off of a Savage. One that you really want and spend the money on your dream rifle.
25.06, 222 Creed are you looking for a fast medium game cartridge? There is a lot more info needed. If just hunting deer and want a smaller caliber probably would not go with a .224 and up it to maybe some fast 6MM BR or 243 Rem, 257 Roberts. After that you need to go up to a 6.5 maybe a 260 Remington and maybe faster a 6.5X284.
I would definitely keep the savage. I don't understand why people don't like them. Yeah they may not feel like a tikka but they just work. The triggers can be tuned to be fantastic. And my savage build that I finished last month shot 1/8" at 100 yards. I would go with a 22 creed. It's a great deer cartridge with 75-95 gr bullets.

The reason for not building a 25/06 is the lack of bullet choices what I did is 6.5/06 same case just resize the neck my gun is a 6.5/06 shooting 143 ELDX @ 3000fps

As others have said, "you need a long action for a 25-06". I'd personally look at building a fast twist 6 Creedmoor. I just built one with a 7 twist 22" Krieger. Shoots 115 Berger's right at 3045 FPS under 1/2 moa and still exceeds 1800 FPS at 1000 yards. Is my new favorite Antelope and Coues deer rifle.

I think you questioned the components for handloading. 25-06 is a great round and you can resize 30-06,280, or270 brass so pretty much unlimited brass options. Bullets are a little bit more limited but available. The 25-06 is a great deer sized hunting round that won't disappoint. I have a 257 weatherby that I use as my 25 caliber option, but it comes at a cost. More powder, less brass options, less barrel life, but wicked fast.

What powder are you running?

Nothing wrong at all with a 25-06 for deer hunting it is a way under rated deer rifle. I love mine. I am a huge 25 cal fan. Although I shoot my 257WTBY at deer most of the time, sometimes I take my 25-06 or 257 Roberts and am perfectly content they will do the job just fine.

22 Creedmoor is a awesome round as well and people saying you need heavies have never shot a deer with a 52 gr hammer.

Here's a solution for you. Build your current action 22 Creedmoor and buy a long action and build your 25-06 best of both worlds that way and you can never have enough rifles (at least that is what I tell myself).....
