I am just getting started with long range hunting with the order of a Remington 700 SPS TACT AAC-SD 308 and would like to know which accessories will best match the rifle. I eventual plan to use the rifle for hunting mule deer, antelope and varmints.
What do you recommend for bases, rings, scope, bipod and a suppressor?

Remington Mk 4 one piece picatinnie 20 MOA base, 30mm Mk 4 rings, 30mm tube long range scope in either Nightforce, Vortex, Leupold Mk 4, US Optics, etc in 5-20x50 or equivalent. For the can (suppressor) you can get a Yankie Hill (YHM) Phantom 30 cal. for around $700 (plus $200 Fed. stamp) or you can spend about twice that for an AAC that doesn't work any better.

The point here is that you can do it right the first time or you can do it twice.

What height for the 30mm Mk 4 rings, super high, high or medium will best fit the Remington 700 SPS TACT AAC-SD 308 barrel profile?

It depends on the size of the objective lens on the scope you put on it, 40mm, 50mm or 56mm. You don't want it any higher than necessary.
