Hi everyone, I just moved to WA from MD and am looking forward to hunting out here. I haven't hunted in a long time and that was for whitetail in MN growing up.
I bought a Stevens 200 in 7-08 as my foundation into rifle hunting. So far the accuracy didn't impress me; I think it is from to the long twist rate (1:12 I think on this model?) and sporter barrel. I need to head to the range again but be more patient between shots for the barrel to cool. I was shooting Hornady Whitetail and Superformance (139g).
I noticed a lot of my research and reading has been on this site so I decided to join and start participating. Thanks to all of you so far for what I have learned in the last few weeks.
