I hunted wood ducks with their 28 gauge 1 oz load and loved it. Next time it becomes available, I'm ordering a case.

Can't you still use lead for upland birds? I used to load a lot of Bismuth for waterfowl back in the day. Never thought the performance matched the cost...

I disagree that the cost doesn't match the performance. I am a firm believer that
the better quality shells make a difference especially when you consider how little most folks get to actually hunt. I take a lot of people duck hunting and see few cripples using the better quality shells like Hevishot

A while back I read an article somewhere that argued that steel shot led to more wounded unrecovered birds than would be killed by eating lead or lead poisoning from shots.
