Now is the time before the water heats up to the point where the basses move off-shore. Best to find an inlet with extensive marshes or estuaries and fish at mouth on an out-going flood tide. I am most familiar with those on olde Cape Cod - Chatham Inlet, Pamet River, Bass River, Pleasant Bay, The Stripers may be fished with fly gear - like streamers 1/0 or 2/0 size with 9-10 weight gear. Other places like Race Point are good but often windy, making fly fishing not that effective. Hooking into a 2 foot long striper with a 9 weight is sport fishing and not fussing with boat launching makes it easy. Funny with all the great Striper fishing many of the locals like catching 1 foot long pond trouts.

Cape Cod does not have long range RockChucks, alfalfa or Prairie Dogs (rodents).
