I watched a movie years ago called "Idiocracy". It was a comedy. They referred to the dumbing down of America as the "Bubba Effect" I laughed hard when watching the movie. I never expected it to be used as a handbook for life by the video game generation. This neuroscientist may have been the doctor in the movie.

I couldn't stand that movie when it came out. I recently watched it and it's not to far off in 23....

What we all didn't realize was idiocracy was a map not a movie.

Probably 10 years ago maybe a bit more policy showed up that was devastating to my family and career path. It thrust me into trying to interact with my local politicians, and in turn higher up officials. In a state this small it didn't take much time to start meeting senators, congressmen and a governor or two.


Didn't take long to realize they come in two varieties likeable idiot and smart but so dirty even a meeting makes you want to shower.

Being born at the tail end of Regan, for some reason I thought that elected leaders, clergy, and others in institutional positions were there because they were the best.... 30 some odd years of life it's clear that's just not so.
