Had a 280AI built by Southern Precision..... Defiance, Bartlein, XLR Chassis, Triggertech, Theta. I have been unable to find any Peterson brass to purchase for over 6 months. In fact, I've been unable to find ANY quality 280AI brass. Anyone out there willing to sell some or perhaps trade some for primers or Lapua brass(6.5 CM or 338 Lapua). FTF obviously if primers, I'm in N TX. Any help is greatly appreciated

I saw some Nosler and Norma at my local shop the other day. I'll swing by there today and see if it's available. PM me your cell.

We have some precision hunter 280ai at the local gun store here. It's something...
Dave,
thx for reply...can you provide name of LGS. I worked on The gold process plant north of Ely 30 yrs ago. We stayed in Ely for lodging for about 6 months...the El Rancho motel. Gave them and the Commercial Casino plenty of the money I earned(young and dumb!)

Keep an eye out for ammo and brass, like every day. Yesterday I found some 44cal Berry's bullets at Cabelas. They processed and shipped the order and as of today, there is none.

Is there not any .30-'06 brass available? The slight difference would not be significant I would think and you could 'roll your own'. Better than letting that gal sit in the safe.
Thx for reply. I am a novice at reforming brass, made some 300 BLK from 5.56 brass years ago but that is my only experience in that realm.

Believe it or not I haven't been able to find 30-06 brass either. The market seems to have dried up on everything. I am hearing the stories, like others on here, that due to the extreme amount of gun sales (9 million in 4 months) there's shortages; then we have the COVID explanation!!???? I don't know what is going on, the extreme gun sales and the COVID explanation do not seem that plausible to me. And......yes you ought to be able to form/fire-form .280 AI brass out of just about any 30-06 brass platform, a good set of dies and a case trimmer; .270, .280, 30-06. Also what I have found is that if someone provides you with a lead on "anything" dealing with reloading components, then................by all means don't wait until after breakfast or dinner because the stuff will be gone. I have had things "sold out" while shopping on the site. Also bring your wallet because some places are truly gouging, and that seems to be very contagious as well. Places that were not gouging either have learned from other sites or are doing so out of necessity. One particular company that I have seen has stopped selling to the "larger" distributors like Midway USA, Cabela's and many others, however if you go on that company's web site they have all that is necessary, but............you have to make purchases of 500 or more.
