New build barrel length

Can't shorten a Proof CF barrel like the OP wants. I'm all for short barrels now that I'm using a suppressor. I'd go 18" in a heartbeat with a 7-08, and always use a faster twist than what I think I'll need. Bullets are always changing and it never hurts to have a fast twist.

I ended up going with a Proof Light Sendero 20 inch 8 twist. My smith is truing ( single point cut ) an old 700 action I already had. Putting it in a AGC Privateer stock with a Timney trigger.
