So looking at getting new Binoculars soon, 10X42 model Listed below are the ones I'm looking at. I Know some are a lot more $$ than others. Just do not want to overlook anything, If I go with option 1 or 2 Might be another 6 months before I can buy, that's ok too. But want to make sure opinions on the others if you have them let me know what you think of them

1 Swarovski 10X42 EL
2. Leica Ultravid HD
3. Zeiss Conquest HD
4. Vortex Razor HD

Theres been nice binos as you have listed here on classified.Ive had swaro ,Lieca and Ziess all great glass. My favorite is 10x32 el for nice packing size,I traded my 42 el straight across for them to a friend

Do you ever struggle with the 10x32? I've got the 8x32 EL and would love to try some 10x32 as well but have been hesitant due to the small exit pupil and one or two reviews I've read that say getting the right eye position for a full FOV can sometimes be difficult.

I've been looking into new binos myself a little bit. Probably not going to happen for a while due to some recent developments, but for what it's worth I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Razor HD. I've even came across a few guys who have compared them to the Swaro's. I don't recall any of them saying that the Razor was better, but they have said that they compare very well and don't lack much compared to them. Considering they are half price or less than the Swarovski's I'd probably try to get my hands on them and take a look if it's an option. You probably wouldn't have a hard time reselling the Razors if you ended up getting them and decided you would rather have the Swarovski's. Just a thought.

I just recently replaced my 8.5 x 50 Vortex Razors with a pair of 10 x 42 EL:'s. I had both in the truck the last few days of elk season and what I saw was the EL's were brighter right at first and last light plus the detail on objects was much clearer. I would have thought the 50mm lens with a lower magnification would have been brighter but that wasn't the case. During the day there wasn't a noticeable difference other than the EL's were a smaller size.,

No i dont at all had binos more than 10 years.I had 42 at same time as well as some Ziess 10x40 classic and all where comparable, wish i never got rid of ziess for the price I did,had a outdoorsman stud on 42's which was nice, also doubler but need good light for that, now running 20 x on rifle so doubler not needed.Might rig on my terrapin though.Reason really like the el is under 20 oz and short,I front carry rifle

I have the Meostar 10x42 HD for three seasons now. Use them for elk and deer hunting. I have compared the viewing experience with several different Swaro's and have not been able to see where they were any better than the Meostar. Also, they appear to be built like a tank and feel/handle well. Low light conditions is where they excel the most in my opinion.
