My Brux bbl arrived today. It's 27" long ,is there enough there to end up with a 26" bbl ?

You should be able to get 26 3/8'' out of it. and still clean up the ends. (You should remove at least 1/2" from the muzzle end).

Also its a .224 8" twist chambered in 22/250 . I intend to shoot 60-75 gr bullets will this require a special reamer ? Don't want to turn any necks .

Are you doing the work yourself? If not then that's what you are paying your smith to do. Just send some sample loads and ask him to chamber it accordingly. Pick your favorite bullet as the throat will be different for each one.
