New Barrel

You can walk around with a # 4 Brux, and the sendero contour is a little too much to carry any distance. I have done it, but if you get a deer, you put the deer on your back, and drag the gun. If your distance is reasonable, the sendero contour isn't too bad, but the 4 would be better. IMHO.

We're on the same page! # 4 would be my choice as well.

what contour would you guys recommend for a walking rifle. I want the best of both worlds...if that is possible. whats the Sendaro Contour like?

Benchmark Barrels

Nothing to see at the Shot Show, my action should arrive at your place tomorrow. You should probably leave early so there is no wasted time! Lol!!

JK the shot show is an awesome experience that can find a gun nerd like me lost for days!

I'm really excited to try out my new build when it comes home, this will be my first experience with Benchmark. The reviews on this site, and the great customer service by you guys answering emails and phone calls are the main reasons I chose to go with Benchmark.

Chris feel free to post progress picks of my build for a little free advertising at my Sendero's expense!l Lol...

What I would do what ever barrel your going to use you can get contour and weight of barrel you can get weight on action, stock, scope etc see if it's a weight you like to pack. If your rebarreling something say going to a #4 your adding weight forward of the action may handle little different than your use to.
