Made it out this morning but it wasn't the greatest conditions. Winds blowing 20 mph and some pretty good mirage. I taped 100 yard target up and cleaned the barrel. 1st shot was about 1" low and right at 3144fps. Strelok figured about 2.75" high at 100 to be dead on at 300 so I made a little circle for POI. Made corrections on the Leupold and let 5 more go for a group and crono check. Not greatest 5 shot group but considering conditions and I havent even begun to tweak the load any yet. Velocity went 3137, 3144, 3167, 3144, and 3159 for average of 3150fps.

I then decided to try my luck and dialed 17.75 MOA for the 965 yard gong and 7 MOA for wind which I thought was around 20 MPH at 1/2 value. Snuggled in behind the A5 and Leupold cranked up to 20x and squeezed the 1.5# only to see a dust cloud about 1.5 ft low and about 2 ft left. Definately put on to much wind and needed to add another few elevation clicks. So I then dialed 19 MOA elevation and 5 MOA for wind and another miss. This however was perfect elevation wise and just missed the left edge of the plate. I took another 2 MOA off for wind, which now put me at 3 MOA. Slowly squeezed the trigger and was watching and waiting to see or hear that sweet sound of steel, and she finally rang!! 9 o'clock top impact. Decided to take another .5 MOA off for wind and shot 3 more. 2nd hit was 6 o'clcok bottom impact. 3rd hit was right underneath the 1st at 9 o'clock. 4th hit was right above the 2nd and was on the 4 o'clock edge of the bull. Spotting my own shots with this is a breeze, so nice.

I decided to call it quits and save some ammo and wait for a better day to do anymore shooting. Still had a blast even though the wind was just ridiculous. Cant wait to get out there on a no wind day and see what we can do with it.

Load is 162 AMAX, 75.5g H1000, Nosler brass neck turned, CCI 250s, OAL is 3.602" which is in the lands a couple thousands.

Very minimal load development so far. Went to pick rifle up and he had 75/75.5/76 loaded and 75.5g shot 3/8" at 3175fps and 76g did 1/2" at 3215fps. So I just loaded them up at 75.5 for now.

Might play with some Retumbo or RL33 and see if 3300fps is obtainable.

76g H1000 did 3215 and was just starting to very faintly show ejector marks. Stil think I could run up to 77g H1000 and maybe hit 3250fps. But accuracy and consistency is key, plus longer brass life if I try not to redline it to much.

Very awesome gun and shooting man. I just picked up my first LR gun, a 7 mag and am loving it. It might turn into a 7-300 once this barrel is done. I really like how the stainless action/barrel looks. Killer setup.
