You CAN spend $1200.
You COULD get something pretty nice for less.
● 11.8" short
● 25.4oz light
● FoV: 56—9.6ft (@ 100y)
● FFP, with thick outside posts to guide the eyes to the crosshairs at lower magnifications — AND with a circle for quick target acquisition.
● 25MOA/turn turrets
● 110MOA elevation adjustment range
● BDC reticle:

The scopes is the Athlon Helos BTR 2-12x42 AHMR2 FFP MOA (Gen. 2!)

It seems like a lot of turret scopes are going to be a bit heavy. I've looked into this as well, I like the maven RS.2. It's a more basic scope but I am pretty sure they have a bdc reticle and they are an American product.

I'll second this, these guys are wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable. I called them a while back about trading in a scope and Doug was honest and straight forward with me about what my scope was worth vs what he could give me for it. I ended up just keeping my scope, but the next time I need a new optic, I'll be calling these guys.
