Hey Guy's,

Looking to buy a new 300 RUM Ridgeline made by Christensen Arms.

Anyone have one ? Shot one ? If so how well did it shoot ?

Thanks in advance.

I have two Ridgelines(28 and 30 Nosler) and a Mesa(Creedmoor). All shoot right at or less than .5 moa.

I have a Ridgeline in 6.5 Creedmoor and my experience mirrors rfurman24's. It easily shoots .5 moa. Fit and finish is great. I've been really impressed with it so far and would not hesitate to buy another one. As a matter of fact, I probably will at some point.

I'm thinking about the same rifle, 300 RUM Christensen Arms Ridgeline.

For $2,000 It seems like an amazing rifle.
I want it for back country mountain hunting.

Anyone used or have one?

Any reason not to buy one of these?

i know of two that spent more time in the gunsmith shop then hunting
one was a 300 rum and wouldn't shoot until he put a proof barrel on it and the other was 26 nosler that would not shoot and was even sent back to them for a fix or money back and they didn't do either so it has a new proof on it too!

if it was my money from what i have seen id stay away
not sure what model names they were but they were both their action with their carbon barrels

So do I forget the Christensen Arms Ridgeline? It's everything I want in a rifle.

What else do I get that is lightweight and accurate?

I wouldn't consider a custom as I'm in Australia and gunsmiths are few and very far between.

I am not sure what the problem with the guy who replaced barrels was but I have three CA rifles. They all shoot under .5moa. They are harder to shoot well due to the weight.

rfurman24,
Could you share your load and C.O.L. for the 28 Nos. Ridgeline?
Thanks

It is 79.2 grains of H1000 with the 180 ELDMs seated .020 off. Of course anyone reading this will need to work up the powder charge and play with seating depth.

Only getting 3115 in the 28. My 7-300 is faster but with the 180 Hybrid which has a shorter bearing surface.
