Need a Rem Short Action

Any suggestions on where to find a Rem short action? I looked at all the pawn shops over the weekend and these are hard to come by. I want to build a 243 with an ABS carbon barrel and a McMillian Remington Hunter stock. Not sure on the scope yet but just looking for a light fun gun to walk around the woods with.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with either a savage short action or spend a little more and get a Stiller. Would be nice to have a detachable mag system.

cant go wrong with either one of those.

Brownells has them from time to time. Just get an 700 SPS for $550 in a caliber you might enjoy then have a barrel put on it. You should be able to switch them out easy enough. I'm getting a .22-250 Pac-Nor with barrel nut in the near future for my .308 SPS.
