Hi guys. I'm looking into getting into reloading for my new Remington 700 5r in .300 Win Mag. It has the 24" 1x10" rifling. I've been doing a TON of online research and I know that H1000, H44350 and IMR4350 seem to be popular powders for this round. I may have found a source for the IMR4350 and I'm wondering if I should jump on it or if you guys can recommend another brand/type of powder. My main interest will be the 180-208gr bullet weights for both hunting and shooting. However, if I found a nice hunting round in the 168gr range, I'd use that too.

I'm using IMR 7828SSC (super short cut) in my 300 winmag with the 208 gr AMAX and am getting great results.

G1, SC is abbreviation for "Short Cut". It's the same powder, just in shorter kernels to meter through your powder thrower.

rl22,23,25, h1000, or 7828 would be the powders I'd look at for hunting weight pills in the 300win. My 300win was shooting .5 to .6 moa with rl22 and 165 hornady pills today at the local 200yard range.

Is the regular 7828 ok, or do I need the 7828SC?
