the gauge you have should work just fine more measuring to sort. You do need the Ball Mic guage as leopold man stated if you want to measure the thickness of the neck for a tight necked gun but for your purposes it is not needed. If you purchase a sinclair cutter you do not need the set up guage as it is not that accurate, as leopold man stated.
