No one cares what PETA has to say especially with how they slaughter pets. It comes down to basic economics. Pay sharp shooters or allow hunters who would really help the economy out there. The rest of the meat is donated and you are given a specific week out there.

The culling of the Elk in the TRNP was a success. I can't seem to find the article I read, but 200+ Elk taken, no injuries, and under budget. Sound like a success to me. 200 down only about 500 more to cull.

I was considering going up there after my CO hunt last year but I changed my mind after talking with the ranger. I don't like tagging along on hunts. Got to go where I can pick the spots, when it's on my dime for exp. Course free tag was good bait!
