NC has authorized the use of suppressors for hunting. The new law goes into affect 1 Oct 2013.

Does that mean that when I am hunting in the late evening in East NC just before dark that the only sound I will here is. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Where I hunt in my favorite stand I must be positioned just perfectly so that when a person that is hunting over a big bean field about 2 miles from me shoots a deer way out across that field with his BIG MAG I can hear the bullet cutting it's way through the heavy humid air and hear it POP when it hits the deer then I hear the report of the weapon. BOOOOOOOOOM. gun)
