Inflation officially running 7.5 % in report just out. But if you calculate it like they used to in 1990 its more like 13% on avg. for all goods.
In ammo components its more like 30%, and in the case of some primers 100%, but thats not all inflation of wages, copper aluminum , chemicals.
Yes, some of the excess over 30% is definitely profiteering.

I stopped by a gun shop in Tulsa the other day. They have received a large shipment of Russian primers in all sizes. The Russian made Large Rifle Primers are $180 (plus tax). Russian made Small Pistol are $60. No purchase limits. Too steep for me. I left empty handed.
Seeing primers in some cases 200% over in less than 10 yrs time. It sucks but if you don't have them and you need them….. I understand why folks will pay. At the end of the day, I love how the folks on this forum will point out opportunities for others to vote with their wallet.
