N570 in a 6.5 PRC

I mentioned in my follow up post that altitude is just less than 400ft, basically sea level.
I also have some further testing data that I haven't gotten around to posting yet, my barrel seems to have sped up even more. I'm out of town right now I'll try to post again next week.

156 EOL's and I maxed out 57.7 grains. Went to 58.2 but primers started cratering at 58.2. Proof 22" barrel. So yours should be over the 3,000 mark easily. Probably closer to 3,100. Had a node between 57.3 to 57.9. All 6 shots from those 3 different pressure tests went into 0.4" per my notes.

Forgot velocity on the 57.7 grains was 2,980 avg ES 11 SD 4.1

Alright so I had a chance to go back out and do some follow up testing on these loads and here are the results:
Edit: 6.5 PRC. Hornady Brass. These are all compressed loads with N570. All seated 0.010" off lands. Fired case capacity is about 69grains H2O.

The 156 EOL was that with N570?

Has anyone tried N570 in their 6.5PRC. I have seen great things with the larger calibers and I heard there were some loads floating around with the 6.5. Just got a 6.5 PRC so I want to start loading with it and I want the consistency of the Viht. Powders.

On a recent call to Berger tech support, N570 has produced the best fps stats of all powder tested. Even if you're not using berger bullets, the stats per the gr weight will give you a good starting point. I'm excited to try some tests using n570. I also recently heard that you can test powder weights in .3 or.2 gr weights with only one bullet per weight. You'll see a flat spot while keeping track of your fps. That's the optimum range to retest. Much better than 4 or 5 shots of each weight. This info comes from a competitive prs shooter.
