I was looking at the burn rate table it's in the ballpark of what I think would work well for my 280ai and 139 Barnes LRX.

Can anyone run quick load for it?
280 ai
24" 9 twist
Fed 210m
Nosler brass
N555
139g Barnes LRX

Thanks in advance.

n555 is a pretty fast powder for the 280ai. But give it a try. H4831sc gives me 3200fps with a 140 accubond. I also use n560 and 565 with the 280. I tried n550 with the 155 absolute hammer and pressured out early,

I've got some and will have to give it a try. Thanks

H4831 works fine for me too. H1000 seems to work the best for 160 AB but are hard to get so back to Hornady and H4831.

Here you go.

Finally got out to trying this combo today. I've been working with 160 Accubonds and that kept me satisfied till today. Too nice of a day to not go to the range. Just a note about what follows, I have noticed that 3 groove Lilja barrels have produced excellent velocities with the Barnes LRX. Both barrels I have shoot faster than any published data I have found. **** This was my rifle and my lot of powder, proceed with caution if you use this info, yours may well be different. ****

Here are the details:
280 Ackley
24" Lilja 3 groove 9 twist
N555 & FED 210m
59gr = 3137 FPS
59.5gr = 3172 FPS
59.7gr = 3190 FPS
60gr = 3215 FPS (Max in my rifle)
60.5gr = 3229 FPS (this was too hot, primer starting to flatten).

I was pretty happy with those results, case capacity was where I like it at the base of the shoulder. That was using a 6" drop tube.

My rifle shot .25 with the LRX and Ramshot Magnum and H-4831SC. Reloder 22 did well also. Havent tried N555 yet
