Hey all I’m looking for a first pack for mostly day hunting and occasional load hauling, and possible over night. Right now I’m considering the mystery ranch popup 28 and mule leaning fairly heavy towards the pop up. Does anyone have experience with either of these? The popup seems like it would be lighter and easier to carry. Mystery ranches website says the popup is heavier than the mule which doesn’t seem right given the frame differences?

For what I’m looking at is the popup sufficient for the occasional meat haul or would I be better off biting the bullet and jumping to the full frame on the mule?

How would the pintler/ cabinet also compare?

I bought the Exo2000. I haven't used it yet this year on a hunt but i have loaded it like hunting and it is super comfortable. I looked at the pop up but I was concerned with the pop up section getting tweaked and not going back where it was supposed to.

Hi, I am seriously considering a Mystery Ranch pack. Would you be willing to send us your results when you have time. I'd like to hear real world pack use instead of sales info. Many thanks.
